There has been a lot of thought,
But there is always plenty of doubt.
I am in great plight,
For I dont have anything to write.
My blog is being read,
As of now there is nothing to be said.
This is absolute tomfoolery,
And I am not asking it to be called poetry.
Do pardon me for my stupidty for trying out something as bad as this. This is my first attempt at writing a poem and is like a kid's first step. Hopefully, I will learn to walk pretty soon.
For all those people who have been checking the blog . I know I can even name them :) .Thank you all .The stat counter does help even though out of the 21 it shows now, 11 have been my own visits, still I have been visited 10 other times and that is good enough for me to keep writing.A blog has been deleted once already and this time around it shall not happen.

hehehehe.. The poem is not bad unlike what you think! :) The lines are actually hilarious and not silly. Congratulations on your baby step! I haven't even attempted to write poetry for my blog. That would be such a laugh!!
If you really want your blog to be read, keep writing posts and ask for people to read them! As for my almost dead blog, I haven't yet got all my old readers on the list of visits yet! :(
And, yes, although I haven't been writing poetry, my friends do make a point to write silly poems for me.. One of them went like this : poori, poori dey! We are in cafe coffee day! Pathetic! Go to links from my blog to get the rest of it!
And srihari :) that is cute!!
Kutts: I might end up on your path never writing a poem again. The usual inspirations for poetry only seems nonsense to me. I am thinking about limericks though .
Poornima : Thank you for the encouraging words. Hilarious huh..let me see whether i can come up with anything worse. Dont worry the list will increase pretty soon. If mine is being read yours will definitely be.
And yes, I have not introduced you to each other, so poornima meet kutts ( Srihari ) who has already read your blog and thinks you write great and you can read his from my links . :)
Hey! Not bad at all.. Talking about first efforts, Mine went something like
the skies are high
were birds fly
waters are deep
and fishes swim
lands in middle
with people who fiddle
all these together
make this world a wonderful place.
:) Hari, I thought your first poem was something else!
@ Poornima : Thanks!
@ Navin: We seem to be discovering novel platforms to introduce people ;)
@ Harini: Well it was my first, and if you wish, I'll recite the remaining 4 lines as well ;)
@Harini : Thank you.
@Everybody: The viwership has shot up over the past 2 days..pretty encouraging sight for me.
we are definitely making friends here, I hear harini has already started appreciating the beauty of ithaca. Happy that i have been the guy to introduce some great minds to each other
Not bad at all! (but then who am i to say? :P)
Blogs die; its natural as I discovered with a few of my blogs ;) Oh, coincidentally, my newest venture is a blog of all my "poems" so far (and to be written).. http://randomrhymes.blogspot.com Peep in to have a look at what I can stir up!
Oops sorry.. its http://randomrhymes.wordpress.com . Damn, I am addicted to Google's products!
@Ganesh : K B , I have already checked the page and it is just simply brilliant. dont let this one die though, it is too much fun to read - the 7th wing of narmada( i think ) ur wingies psycho and all. Yeah..njiggs.blogspot is dead now isnt it ?
unfortunately yes.. dead but waiting to be given a formal burial.. the ritual is too painful to carry out ;)
there was a blogger called navin,
who fantasized about avril lavigne,
He made vista go green,
and used his blog to went his spleen.
maybe you should try limericks.... and yes a secret admirer surfaces for the first time....
@Kanth:
Avril Lavigne ! Couldn't it have just been dreams about an Arsenal win ? :P
Spleen yes, finding it tough to keep it at such low levels.
Limericks huh, I might up dish up one the next time around and to the secret admirer, hope I can sustain the interest :)
